KYOSHIN SABAKI STYLE DEVELOPMENT

I am pleased to outline my current thoughts as to the development of our new and exciting Martial art, or should we call it a rejuvenation of Martial arts in general.

Within Kyoshin Sabaki, and as instructors, we should be able to answer any question within the class structure. It appears to me that most Martial artist regardless of style appear to just go through the motions of grading requirements without a true understanding of why the techniques are in place, even at instructors level.

In the world of Bruce Lee,

"we need to remove all the classical, tradition techniques"

and be sure we can always have a reasonable explanation as to why we do every technique, thus promoting intelligence within our style, also teaching teachers to teach more than just the technique but the meaning and theory behind it.

Some students put up a mental block when they see no purpose to what they are learning. Kyoshin Sabaki must be accessible to everybody, and achievable for every man, woman and child.

Grading levels must be set for the individuals per there level of achievement within themselves, and graded by instructors who directly teach them for this understanding to exist. Promote achievement, fun, honor, social, respect, discipline where applicable, fitness and general well being.

Kyoshin Sabaki should be assimilated into there entire life, and not just the Dojo, it must become a way of thinking.

At this point l would like to state that Kyoshin Sabaki would be nothing without Ashihara Karate.
